This thesis describes an investigation of Very High Energy (VHE) gamma-ray emission from the blazar galaxy 1ES 2344+514, based on data from five observational seasons (1999-2004) using the Whipple 10-metre telescope in southern Arizona.

Abstract A lipoma, which is composed of fatty tissue, is the most common benign soft‐tissue tumor. Lipomata can develop anywhere in the body including the intermetatarsal space. The intermetatarsal space is filled by dorsal and plantar interossei muscles, and a lipoma in this space will extend outside this space as the tumor grows.

Absolute Number of Thalamic Parafascicular and Striatal Cholinergic Neurons, and the Three‐Dimensional Spatial Array of Striatal Cholinergic Neurons, in the Sprague‐Dawley Rat

The absolute numbers of thalamic parafascicular (PFN) neurons and striatal cholinergic interneurons (CIN) were estimated in rats using unbiased stereological methods. Spatial statistical analysis of the three‐dimensional distribution revealed that the large, mostly CIN were randomly positioned with no evidence of clustering.
