[Aneurysm of the superficial femoral artery].

Chirurgia italiana, 1984
The authors start from a case of aneurysm of the superficial femoral artery, they had the opportunity to observe, and discuss the etiopathogenetic, diagnostic and clinical problems involved in this disease. Then, they dwell upon the main therapeutical solutions suggested, and declare inclined to endoaneurysmography with interposition of autologous or ...

Mycotic aneurysm of the superficial femoral artery

Irish Journal of Medical Science, 1983
The successful management of a mycotic aneurysm of the superficial femoral arter, secondary to pneumococcal septicaemia, by suture occlusion of the entry and exit vessels, is reported. Mycotic aneurysms, because of their tendency to rupture or produce metastatic infection, are dangerous lesions requiring early operative correction.

Superficial Femoral Vein and Superficial Femoral Artery as Replacement for Infected Axillofemoral Graft

Annals of Vascular Surgery, 2006
We report successful replacement of infected axillofemoral bypass with a combined femoral vein and superficial femoral artery graft. The new graft was transferred through the tunnel left after infected prosthesis removal. Good early and long-term results indicate that this may be a sufficient procedure.

Ruptured aneurysm of the superficial femoral artery.

Panminerva medica, 1995
True isolated "arteriosclerotic" aneurysms of the superficial femoral artery are rare. One case of isolated superficial femoral artery aneurysm and review of literature is reported.Case report and review of the literature.Hospitalized care.An 80-year old man presenting with rupture of superficial femoral artery aneurysm was observed and treated with ...

Arterial Reconstruction of Infected Femoral Artery Pseudoaneurysms Using Superficial Femoral-Popliteal Vein

Journal of the American College of Surgeons, 2005
Infected femoral artery pseudoaneurysms (IFAPs) secondary to percutaneous arterial access, injection of illegal substances, and from infected synthetic grafts, appear to be increasing in incidence. Ligation of IFAPs without revascularization offers control of infection but may risk limb ischemia.

Stent-grafts in the superficial femoral artery

European Journal of Radiology, 1998
Superficial femoral artery disease is still cumbersome to treat. While percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and stent replacement are well established treatment modalities for occlusive iliac or renal artery diseases, less favorable results are obtained with these techniques in the superficial femoral artery.

Remote superficial femoral artery endarterectomy.

The Journal of cardiovascular surgery, 2008
Remote superficial femoral artery endarterectomy (RSFAE) is an effective minimal invasive treatment modality of TransAtlantic Inter-Society Consensus (TASC) C and D atherosclerotic lesions of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) with at least equal patency rates as supragenicular synthetic bypass grafts.

Remote superficial femoral artery endarterectomy.

The Journal of cardiovascular surgery, 2004
The advent of minimally invasive procedures such as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty with or without stent, laser-assisted balloon angioplasty, and atherectomy, whose results have proven disappointing in the treatment of long-segment (> more than 15 cm) superficial femoral artery (SFA) occlusive disease, stimulated a reassessment of SFA ...
