Histopathology of compression of the superficial radial nerve in the forearm

open access: yesThe Journal of Hand Surgery, 1986
A histologic assessment of the radial sensory nerve from a patient with nerve compression is reported. Histologic changes were confined to the region of the nerve compression. Connective tissue changes consisted of an increased thickness of the epineurium and perineurium.

Superficial radial nerve–lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve anatomic variation [PDF]

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, 2013
AbstractIntroductionThis study focuses on an anatomic variation in which the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve (LACN) innervates the radial border of the dorsum of the hand and thumb in addition to, or replacing, the superficial radial nerve (RSN).

Wartenberg Syndrome - an Unusual Neuropathy - Case Report and Literature Review [PDF]

open access: yesModern Medicine, 2019
Almost known in the literature and underdiagnosed even in the obvious cases, Wartenberg syndrome is most often treated, superfi cially and as a result, with direct consequences on its evolution.

THE SUPERFICIAL BRANCH OF THE RADIAL NERVE: A MORPHOLOGIC STUDY

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ortopedia (English Edition), 2009
Study the morphology of the superficial branch of the radial nerve (SBRN) of the forearms and wrists of fresh adult human cadavers.Twenty three dissections were performed under 3.5x loupe magnification, histological sections of the nerve were obtained in 20 dissections for fascicle identification. The SBRN emerged, in average, at 8.65cm proximal to the ...

Sonography and EMG Biofeedback’s Role in PIN Syndrome After Rehabilitation? A Case Report

open access: yesSurabaya Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Journal, 2022
The radial nerve divides into two terminal branches the superficial radial nerve and the posterior interosseous nerve. Posterior interosseous nerve entrapment is associated with weakness in the extension of fingers, atrophy of the forearm muscles, and ...

Anatomical Study of the Motor Branches of the Radial Nerve in the Forearm [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ortopedia
Objective To analyze the anatomical variations of the motor branches of the radial nerve in the elbow region. The origin, course, length, branches, motor points and relationships with neighboring structures were evaluated.

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

Superficial Radial Neuropathy due to Anatomic Variation: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Society of Radiology
Superficial radial neuropathy is a purely sensory neuropathy, usually caused by nerve entrapment in the distal forearm. We report a case of superficial radial neuropathy caused by the anomalous course of the superficial radial nerve, which was found to

Lateral approach to the humeral shaft [PDF]

open access: yesThe Egyptian Orthopaedic Journal, 2016
BackgroundIn situations where simultaneous exploration of the anterior, the lateral, and the posterior surfaces of the shaft of the humerus is needed, or when radial nerve exploration is required, it is beneficial to find an approach that allows good ...
