Encountering Difference in the Workplace: Superficial Contact, Underlying Tensions and Group Rights
Tijdschrift voor Economische en Sociale Geografie, 2016AbstractEmployment, demographic, cultural, and legal changes in Europe over the past 40 years have brought unprecedented numbers of minority groups into organisations at all levels, and research suggests that most workplaces are likely to become even more diverse in the future. While much attention has been paid to negative experiences of minorities in

MyotonPRO as a new valid tool for measuring cervical muscle tension. A reliability study
Logopedics, Phoniatrics, VocologyObjective The main objective of this study is to test the reliability of a non-invasive objective method for the measurement of biomechanical parameters of cervicofacial muscle groups, with the purpose of diagnosis and evaluation of voice disorders ...

Surface Science Letters, 1985
Abstract This paper deals with a comparative study of surface segragation of Pb and Ni respectively from Ag(Pb)(111) and Ag(Ni)(111) solid solutions. A high level of segregation of the solute is observed for both systems characterized by very low solute solubility. However, the superficial composition strongly depends on the relative surface tensions

Creation of replacement tissue to repair articular surface defects remains a challenge. Normal zonal characteristics of articular cartilage throughout its thickness, particularly the superficial tangential zone (STZ), and normal material properties have not been reproduced in vitro in scaffolds nor in vivo in repairing defects.

Tension characteristics of the iliotibial tract and role of its superficial layer.
Clinical orthopaedics and related research, 1995Change in tension along the iliotibial tract by sectioning its superficial layer was analyzed using 5 fresh whole cadavers, and the role of the superficial layer was investigated. Tibial attachment of the iliotibial tract (Gerdy's tubercle) was detached and pulled gradually in a distal direction with respect to the femur.
