This third case history was a 52 ha EPA Superfund site located in Tarpon Springs north of Tampa, Florida that had processed phosphate ore to produce elemental phosphorus. While the site had been investigated and a Record Of Decision (ROD) had been completed from EPA regarding the remediation, there remained concerns with the site.

Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 1985Many legal aspects of the 1980 Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, known as CERCLA, pose problems for industry and the general public. The legal issues are developing and many of the numerous problems will require future resolution in the courts.
