A control architecture solution to superheat nonlinearity

Proceedings of the 2010 American Control Conference, 2010
Evaporator superheat control is an important aspect of the operation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; since the majority of cooling in these systems occurs through evaporation of two-phase refrigerant, the energy efficiency is improved by reducing the amount of superheat present.

Acid Cleaning of Superheaters and Reheaters

Journal of Engineering for Power, 1961
The object of this paper is to present both laboratory and field experience in the chemical cleaning of drainable and nondrainable superheaters and reheaters. It will be limited to the general discussion of flow characteristics, types of solvents, equipment used, and methods employed, with emphasis on actual results obtained in the field.

A Superheater Chemical Cleaning Study

CORROSION 1985, 1985
Abstract Chemical cleaning of superheat/reheat areas of fossil fueled steam generators is a viable method to control solid particle erosion in turbines. Extensive planning prior to chemical cleaning is essential, including screening of prospective chemical solvent systems and varying conditions. Tube samples from appropriate areas should

Radiant-Superheater Developments

Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1932
Abstract Sustained high steam temperatures at all operating ratings, not peak readings at one narrow load range, are being sought in the industry’s quest for higher operating efficiencies. Uniform average temperatures, not maximum values, determine commercial economy and even safety of higher steam temperatures.

Boiling Liquid Superheat

1975
Publisher Summary The chapter focuses on the boiling process and examines how to make predictions of heat transfer with the required accuracy. It presents an overview of how to stimulate further research in boiling heat transfer by introducing an appropriate method to aid in better understanding boiling phenomena.
