Heat Transfer in the Locomotive Superheater
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1930Abstract The author’s method for calculating heat transfer in locomotive flues is applied to determine the heat transfer in the superheater flues and tubes. It is applied to three sets of experimental data obtained from two locomotives on the Altoona locomotive test plant.
