Brain–Pupil Coupling Revealed Through Deep Learning of Intracranial Recordings
Pupillary dynamics are closely linked to cognitive performance and band‐limited power in task‐relevant neural networks during attentional set‐shifting. Deep learning models based on intracranial neural recordings captured patterns predictive of changes in pupil size using a network of limbic, prefrontal and posterior regions.

How Laminar Frontal Cortex and Basal Ganglia Circuits Interact to Control Planned and Reactive Saccades [PDF]
The basal ganglia and frontal cortex together allow animals to learn adaptive responses that acquire rewards when prepotent reflexive responses are insufficient.

Antimicrobial prescribing guidelines for horses in Australia
The growing problem of antimicrobial resistance also affects equine veterinarians with increasing frequency. Antimicrobial stewardship and responsible prescribing are essential for a future in which effective antimicrobials are available, as it is unlikely that new antimicrobials will become available for use in horses.

ABSTRACT Assessment of auditory‐evoked responses across multiple stages of the ascending auditory pathway provides complementary insights into neural integrity for research and clinical contexts. However, traditional approaches, constrained by conflicting optimal parameters, require separate sessions for different response types, limiting efficiency ...

Distribution and characterisation of Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor expressing cells in the mouse brain. [PDF]
© 2015 The Authors. Objective: Although Glucagon-like peptide 1 is a key regulator of energy metabolism and food intake, the precise location of GLP-1 receptors and the physiological relevance of certain populations is debatable.

Sleep neuroimaging: Review and future directions
Summary Sleep research has evolved considerably since the first sleep electroencephalography recordings in the 1930s and the discovery of well‐distinguishable sleep stages in the 1950s. While electrophysiological recordings have been used to describe the sleeping brain in much detail, since the 1990s neuroimaging techniques have been applied to uncover

MYB Alterations in Angiocentric Gliomas
ABSTRACT We performed a systematic review of the literature to better define the scope of MYB alterations in angiocentric glioma and their associated clinical characteristics, as well as to include a novel MYB mutation in an angiocentric glioma case. We also review MYB alterations in the context of oncologic disease.

The superior colliculus directs goal-oriented forelimb movements
Summary: Skilled forelimb control is essential for daily living, yet our understanding of its neural mechanisms, although extensive, remains incomplete. Here, we present evidence that the superior colliculus (SC), a major midbrain structure, is necessary

Projections to the inferior colliculus from the lateral and medial superior olivary nuclei were studied in the gerbil (Meriones unguiculatus) with neuroanatomical tract-tracing methods. The terminal fields of projecting axons were labeled via anterograde
