Unicitatea personală – către o perspectivă sociologică

open access: yesSociologie Românească, 2014
In this paper we review the biases associated with the sense of personal uniqueness: better-than-average effect, illusory superiority, person-positivity bias, leniency error, sense of relative superiority, third-person effect, unrealistic optimism ...

Word Superiority Effects in Dyslexics

open access: yes, 2022
Distorting the word superiority effect with intraword spacing was used to investigate the processing difference in single-word reading for dyslexics and controls. Perfetti’s Reading model suggests that dyslexics would have reduced processing capacity with intraword spacing.

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

Arterial Spin‐Labeling MRI at the Cortical‐CSF Interface: A Novel Biomarker in Alzheimer Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objective Arterial spin‐labeling (ASL) MRI can measure perfusion signal adjacent to CSF spaces and may provide information regarding CSF‐adjacent water transport physiology. We developed an automated pipeline to extract cortical‐CSF interface (IF) perfusion for comparison between Alzheimer disease (AD) and cognitively normal ...

Posterior Disconnection Syndrome in Early‐Stage Adult‐Onset Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Adult‐onset cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy is potentially treatable but often difficult to recognize before advanced cerebral involvement. Herein, we describe three men with early‐stage disease who initially presented with subtle visual complaints rather than subcortical dementia. Targeted neuropsychological testing revealed higher‐order visual

Lessons learned from an fMRI-guided rTMS study on performance in a numerical Stroop task.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
The Stroop task is a well-established tool to investigate the influence of competing visual categories on decision making. Neuroimaging as well as rTMS studies have demonstrated the involvement of parietal structures, particularly the intraparietal ...

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Inebilizumab in AQP4‐Seropositive NMOSD: One‐Year Follow‐Up From a Multicenter, Real‐World Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Real‐world evidence on inebilizumab among neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) patients is lacking. This study assessed inebilizumab among Chinese patients with aquaporin 4 autoantibody (AQP4‐IgG)‐seropositive NMOSD in a real‐world setting.

Changes in Immune‐Inflammation Status and Prognosis in Pregnancy‐Related Cerebral Venous Thrombosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Distinguishing pathological changes from physiological adaptations in pregnancy‐related cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is clinically challenging. This study aimed to characterize coagulation, immune‐inflammation, and dehydration status in these patients and assess their prognostic value.
