We present here the results from a second epoch of phase-referenced VLBA observations of eight Seyfert and LINER galaxies from the KISSR sample. These sources were chosen based on the presence of double peaks or asymmetries in their emission lines as ...

We present a 16-month sequence of monthly polarimetric 43 GHz VLBA images of the radio galaxy 3C 120. The images probe the inner regions of the radio jet of this relatively nearby superluminal radio galaxy at a linear resolution of 0.07 $h_{65}^{-1}$ pc (

Observations of Superluminal Motions in 3C 120 [PDF]
Superluminal motions were first seen in 3C 120 between 1972.5 and 1974.4 (Seielstad et al. 1979 and references therein). Between 1975 and 1980, the source was monitored along with 3C 273 and 3C 345 by the Caltech group. One reasonably clear episode of expansion was seen in 1979 (Walker et al. 1982) but, for most of the time, the source evolution was so

A novel p‐PdSe2/n‐ReSe2 van der Waals heterojunction (HJ) diode is fabricated via dry transfer. Optoelectronic density functional theory calculations provide firm support to the experimental section. The rectification of the PdSe2/ReSe2 diode increases from ≈9 × 101 at Vg = 60 to ≈3.13 × 103 at Vg = −60. Devices perform admirably on the illumination of

GEOMETRIZED VACUUM PHYSICS. PART IX: "NEUTRINO"
In this article, based on exact solutions of the Einstein vacuum equation, are proposed metric-dynamic models of the electron and positron "neutrino" in the initial state, i.e.

A New Geometry for Superluminal Motions [PDF]
In the context of superluminal motions, the statistical difficulties intrinsic to the canonical jet geometry are alleviated if the relativistic flows occur on a plane screen, orthogonal to the source axis. The strongest superluminal effects should be detected when the source lies in the plane of the sky, rather than pointing at the observer.

Cross‐Polarization Gain Calibration of Linearly Polarized VLBI Antennas by Observations of 4C 39.25
Abstract Radio telescopes with dual linearly polarized feeds regularly participate in Very Long Baseline Interferometry. One example is the VLBI Global Observing System (VGOS), which is employed for high‐precision geodesy and astrometry. In order to achieve the maximum signal‐to‐noise ratio, the visibilities of all four polarization products are ...

Relativistic Jet Motion in the Radio-quiet LINER Galaxy KISSR 872
We report superluminal jet motion with an apparent speed of β _app = 1.65 ± 0.57 in the radio-quiet (RQ) low-ionization nuclear emission-line region (LINER) galaxy KISSR 872.

Narrow-line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxies are a peculiar subclass of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Among them, TXS 1206+549 belongs to a small group of radio-loud and γ-ray-emitting NLS1 galaxies.

Abstract In research and engineering, short laser pulses are fundamental for metrology and communication. The generation of pulses by passive mode‐locking is especially desirable due to the compact setup dimensions, without the need for active modulation requiring dedicated external circuitry.
