Optimized ACE2‐Fc fusion proteins with picomolar neutralization activity against highly evolved SARS‐CoV‐2 variants

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The rapid evolution of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) has compromised the efficacy of many authorized monoclonal antibody products. This highlights the need for alternative strategies, especially for vulnerable populations such as immunocompromised individuals.

SN 2023ixf: The Closest Supernova of the Decade

open access: yesUniverse
Supernova 2023ixf occurred on 18 May 2023 in the nearby galaxy Messier 101 (D≈6.85 Mpc), making it the closest supernova in the last decade. Following its discovery, astronomers around the world rushed to observe the explosion across the electromagnetic ...

Observational data on Galactic supernova remnants: II. The supernova remnants within l = 90°-270° [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 2004
We have collected all the available data on Galactic supernova remnants given in the literature. The data of Galactic supernova remnants located in the Galactic longitude interval l=90° - 270° in all spectral bands are represented in this work.

Supernova Remnants and their Supernovae [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1988
AbstractObserving supernova remnants provides important clues to the nature of supernova explosions. Conversely, the late stages of stellar evolution and the mechanism of supernova explosions affect supernova remnants through circumstellar matter, stellar remnants, and nucleosynthesis. The elements of supernova classification and the connection between

Formation of Uranium Pinacolate from the Reductive Coupling of Acetone

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 1, January 6, 2026.
Uranium(III) cyclopentadienyl complexes are shown to react with acetone in a pinacol coupling, forming uranium pinacolate complexes. Single crystals obtained from the reaction are the first direct structural proof of the previously proposed metallapinacolate intermediate. 1,2‐Diols are elemental building blocks in organic synthesis.

Understanding Supernova Neutrino Physics using Low-Energy Beta-Beams

open access: yes, 2005
We show that fitting linear combinations of low-energy beta-beam spectra to supernova-neutrino energy-distributions reconstructs the response of a nuclear target to a supernova flux in a very accurate way. This allows one to make direct predictions about

Presupernova Eruptions Triggered by Sudden Energy Deposition in Low-mass Core-collapse Supernova Progenitors

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In low-mass core-collapse supernova (SN) progenitors, nuclear burning beyond oxygen can become explosive under degenerate conditions, triggering eruptive mass loss before the final explosion.

Star Formation as Seen by Low Mass Stars

open access: yesActa Polytechnica CTU Proceedings, 2014
Using the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) we have characterised and compared the physical properties of a large sample of pre-main sequence (PMS) stars spanning a wide range of masses (0:5 - 4Mʘ), metallicities (0:1 - 1 Zʘ) and ages (0:5 - 30 Myr).

Examining Neutrino–Matter Interactions in the Cassiopeia A Supernova

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Neutrino interactions with stellar material are widely believed to be fundamental to the explosion of massive stars. However, this important process has remained difficult to confirm observationally.

Historical Supernovae and Supernova Remnants [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1996
The oldest historical supernova (SN), recorded by ancient Chinese in 14th Century B.C. on pieces of tortoise shells or bones, is identified with the aid of modern space γ-ray observations. Hard X-rays with energy up to 20 keV were observed from IC 443 by the X-ray satellite Ginga. We infer from these observations the age of IC 443 is ∼ 1000 — 1400 yrs.
