Supernova neutrino signal in IceCube
As neutrinos propagate from the neutrinosphere through the mantle of a core-collapse supernova they will pass through regions of turbulence. The turbulence leads to stochastic neutrino flavor mixing thus leaving fingerprints in the Galactic supernova neutrino burst signal. In this talk I explore the effect of turbulence upon the neutrinos focusing upon

Neutrino astronomy with supernova neutrinos [PDF]
Modern neutrino facilities will be able to detect a large number of neutrinos from the next Galactic supernova. We investigate the viability of the triangulation method to locate a core-collapse supernova by employing the neutrino arrival time differences at various detectors.

Abstract The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center (NOAA/SWPC) issues several solar radiation storm products: the long standing proton Warnings and Alerts that are based on particle intensity levels observed by the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites; and the more recent International Civil ...

Abstract We present long‐term density trends of the Earth's upper atmosphere at altitudes between 71 and 116 km, based on atmospheric occultations of the Crab Nebula observed with X‐ray astronomy satellites, ASCA, RXTE, Suzaku, NuSTAR, and Hitomi. The combination of the five satellites provides a time period of 28 years from 1994 to 2022.

Supernova neutrino oscillations [PDF]
We discuss some possible influence of neutrino oscillations on physics of supernova mainly focusing on the observations of $\bar _e$, and present some analysis of SN1987A data in the light of three neutrino mixing scheme.

Abstract Star‐forming and starburst galaxies (SBGs), which are well‐known cosmic‐ray (CR) reservoirs, are expected to emit gamma rays and neutrinos predominantly via hadronic collisions. In this work we analyze the 10‐year Fermi‐Low Energy Technique (LAT) spectral energy distributions of 13 nearby galaxies by means of a physical model that accounts for

A nascent neutron star resulting from stellar collapse is a prodigious source of neutrinos of all flavors. While the most basic features of this neutrino emission can be estimated from simple considerations, the detailed simulation of the neutrinos' decoupling from the hot neutron star is not yet computationally tractable in its full glory, being a ...
