Shape of dark energy: Constraining its evolution with a general parametrization

Physical Review D
We consider a general dark energy (DE) model parametrized by its equation-of-state (EoS), featuring three free parameters: $w_0$ (the present-day value of the DE EoS), $w_{\beta}$ (quantifying the dynamical nature of the DE EoS), and $\beta$ (governing ...

Supernova Remnants: A Generalized Theoretical Approach to the Radio Evolution

Publications of the Astronomical Society of Australia, 1979
Theoretical work on the radio emission from supernova remnants (SNRs) has not developed much since the pioneering work of Shklovsky (1960) and van der Laa (1962a, b). Despite agreement that the emission results from the synchrotron process, the origin of the relativistic particles and magnetic field is not clear. There are three reasonable alternatives:

On the configuration of relativistic particles generated by a supernova in the galactic arm

Physics Letters, 1962
A postulate on the existence of an arm or a local arm extending from the neighborhood of the solar system toward a direction of about 5 deg galactic longitude is discussed. The postulate resulted from an interpretation of the spurshaped'' region on the radio map of the sky in terms of the synchrotron radiation from a configuration of cosmic particles ...

Generalized Spectral Correlations of Type Ia Supernovae from the Nearby Supernova Factory

2009
We present a generalized correlation analysis of type Ia supernova spectra with a focus on spectral features that correlate with absolute magnitude in ways that are not already accounted for by color and lightcurve stretch. The results reveal new spectral correlations beyond those of the classic metrics of feature ratios (RSi, RSiS, RCa, EDCa).

Ultimate energy of cosmic rays generated in supernova shells

JETP Letters, 2008
It is shown that the ultimate energy of cosmic rays accelerated in a supernova shell due to the surfing acceleration mechanism is determined by the shell radius and the interstellar magnetic field. The ultimate energy of cosmic rays accelerated in the supernova shock does not exceed 1017 eV for typical values of the interstellar magnetic field in the ...

The Ejection of Relativistic Bullets from Supernovae and the Generation of Gamma-Ray Bursts

The Astrophysical Journal, 2000
It is generally believed that cosmological gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are produced by the deceleration of relativistic objects with Gamma greater, similar100. We study the possibility that some GRBs are produced along with relativistic matter ejected from supernovae.
