Investigation of impacted supernumerary teeth: a cone beam computed tomograph (cbct) study

open access: yesJournal of Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, 2017
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacted supernumerary teeth which were initially detected on panoramic radiographs by using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, supernumerary

Effect of Implementing a Dashboard With or Without a Best Practice Alert on HLA‐B*58:01 Testing Rates Among Allopurinol Users at VA Medical Centers

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The American College of Rheumatology recommends HLA‐B*58:01 allele testing before the initiation of allopurinol, specifically among Asian and African American/Black patients, due to their increased risk for severe hypersensitivity reactions. However, testing rates remain low at many health care facilities.

Removal of a supernumerary tooth displaced into the infratemporal fossa during extraction

open access: yesEuropean Oral Research, 2018
DOI: 10.26650/eor.2018.31977Accidental displacement of an impacted tooth into the infratemporal fossa (ITF) is a rare but serious complication because of the vulnerability of the surrounding anatomical structures.

Intranasal supernumerary tooth

open access: yesIndian Journal of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, 1997
Eruption of ectopic and supernumerary teeth into the nasal cavity is quite an uncommon condition and may present with varying degree of morbidity. The purpose of this short report is to highlight the mode of presentation, management and review of relevant literature of this rare occurrence.

Aurora A inhibition limits centrosome clustering and promotes mitotic catastrophe in cells with supernumerary centrosomes

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2018
The presence of supernumerary centrosomes is prevalent in cancer, where they promote the formation of transient multipolar mitotic spindles. Active clustering of supernumerary centrosomes enables the formation of a functional bipolar spindle that is ...

Clinical Significance of Therapeutic Drug Level Monitoring for Mycophenolate in Patients with Extra‐Renal Systemic Lupus Erythematosus – A Systematic Review & Meta‐analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Background Clinical response to Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is highly heterogeneous; thus, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) may help improve treatment efficacy. This systematic review and meta‐analysis examined therapeutic ranges for MPA levels associated with better outcomes and safety in patients with SLE, particularly those with extra‐renal ...

A novel mutation of adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene results in the formation of supernumerary teeth

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 2017
Supernumerary teeth are teeth that are present in addition to normal teeth. Although several hypotheses and some molecular signalling pathways explain the formation of supernumerary teeth, but their exact disease pathogenesis is unknown.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Supernumerary Lateral Incisor

open access: yesThe Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice, 2013
ABSTRACTSupernumerary teeth are common in general population and occur frequently in patients with familial trait. However, it is rare to find supernumeraries in individuals with no associated disease or syndrome. Supernumerary teeth are found in any region of maxilla and mandible, with a predisposition for anterior maxilla.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
