Climate change as superordinate curriculum?

Research in Education, 2023
Despite being one of the largest carbon emitters in the world, the United States has little direct emphasis on climate change in its schools. Even where there is desire to teach climate change, the politicization of climate change sees school leaders steering teachers away from the topic. This piece examines what we know about climate change education

Subordinants of differential superordinations

Complex Variables, Theory and Application: An International Journal, 2003
Let Ω be any set in the complex plane ℂ, let p be analytic in the unit disk U and let ψ (r, s, t; z). In this article we consider the problem of determining properties of functions p that satisfy the differential superordination Ω ⊂ {ψ(p(z), z 2 p"(z);z)|z ∈ U}.

On the equivalence of superordinate concepts

Cognition, 1996
Psychological studies of superordinates have generally treated them as equivalent. However, many languages distinguish mass superordinates (e.g., clothing) from count superordinates (e.g., vehicle). In the present paper, experimental evidence is presented which suggests that the two types of superordinates are conceptually distinct as well.

Resolving conflict: superordinate goals and careful communication

BMJ, 2021
I agree with David Oliver’s comments.1 The covid-19 pandemic has put immense strain on both primary and secondary care provision in a system that was already under pressure. Unfortunately, primary and secondary care continue to exist in silos, with management and funding structures limiting collaboration.

ERP correlates of superordinate category activation

International Journal of Psychophysiology, 2009
The human semantic network is hierarchically organized, containing superordinate, basic and subordinate levels. Various impairments are thought to be connected with abnormal access to superordinate concepts. We devised an ERP paradigm to examine the activation of superordinate versus otherwise related concepts in 20 healthy participants.
