The Influence of Thickness on the Magnetic Properties of Nanocrystalline Thin Films: A Computational Approach

open access: yesComputation, 2021
A study of the magnetic behaviour of polycrystalline thin films as a function of their thickness is presented in this work. The grain volume was kept approximately constant in the virtual samples.

Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Multi‐Metallic Nanozymes With Colorimetric and Catalytic Amplification for Rapid and Highly‐Sensitive Detection of Influenza A

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
The application of nanozymes in LFIA greatly improved the situation of insufficient colorimetric signals by catalytic reaction. 3D magnetic multi‐metallic nanozymes integrated the characteristics of great magnetism, enhanced colorimetric signal, and outstanding POD‐like activity, and were applied to LFIA for rapid and accurate detection of Influenza A ...

Superparamagnetism in Heterogeneous AgFe Thin Films - A Low Energy μSR Study

open access: yes, 2001
This paper describes a study of superparamagnetism in iron nanoclusters using low energy muSR, including for the first time zero field measurements, which yield an intrinsic nanocluster superparamagnetic relaxation rate of nu(0) = 67 +/- 15 MHz and an ...

Magnetic Fe@FeOx, Fe@C and α-Fe2O3 Single-Crystal Nanoblends Synthesized by Femtosecond Laser Ablation of Fe in Acetone

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2018
There are few reports on zero-field-cooled (ZFC) magnetization measurements for Fe@FeOx or FeOx particles synthesized by laser ablation in liquids (LAL) of Fe, and the minimum blocking temperature (TB) of 120 K reported so far is still much higher than ...

Magnetothermal‐Triggered Response and Self‐Healing of Recyclable and Reprocessable Nanocomposites for Actuation Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 45, 5 June 2026.
Developing recyclable materials for magnetic robotics that combine rapid response and self‐healing properties is challenging. Hence, this study focuses on the integration of magnetothermal nanoparticles into a dynamic sorbitol‐based vitrimer, a recyclable composite capable of remote actuation and self‐healing by magnetic heating.

Switching on Antiferromagnetic Coupled Superparamagnetism by Annealing Ferromagnetic Mn/CdS Nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2016
Mixed phases of metastable cubic and stable hexagonal manganese assisted CdS nanoparticles were synthesized by a colloidal route. These phases were quantified by the Short and Steward method of X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry ...

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 12, 18 June 2026.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Imaging and Linking Spatial Magnetic Nanoparticle Distribution to Microbead Torques Using Soft X‐Ray Laminography

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 6, June 2026.
Nanoscale 3D imaging of superparamagnetic microbeads via soft X‐ray laminography reveals the structural origin of the observed torques in cell movement experiments. These microbeads are found to have an uneven distribution of magnetic magnetite nanoparticles.
