Gravity and the Superposition Principle

open access: greenInternational Journal of Theoretical Physics, 2023
The relation between gravity and quantum mechanics is investigated in this work. The link is given by the wave packet expansion process, rooted from the Uncertainty Principle. The basic idea is to express the de Broglie wavelength used by Schrodinger for a massive particle in terms of the associated Compton wavelength which is replaced by the Michell ...

Superposition principle applies to human walking with two simultaneous interventions [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Gait rehabilitation therapies provide adjusted sensory inputs to modify and retrain walking patterns in an impaired gait. Asymmetric walking is a common gait abnormality, especially among stroke survivors.

Phenomenographic analysis and comparison of students’ conceptual understanding of electric and magnetic fields and the principle of superposition [PDF]

open access: goldPhysical Review Physics Education Research, 2021
There are studies of students’ understanding of the concept of the electric field, the magnetic field, and the use of the superposition principle that have contributed to the creation of both educational strategies and assessment tools.

On the superposition principle in interference experiments. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2015
AbstractThe superposition principle is usually incorrectly applied in interference experiments. This has recently been investigated through numerics based on Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) methods as well as the Feynman path integral formalism. In the current work, we have derived an analytic formula for the Sorkin parameter which can be used to ...

Superposition Principle and Kirchhoff’s Integral Theorem

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
The need for modification of the Huygens–Fresnel superposition principle arises even in the description of the free fields of massive particles and, more extensively, in nonlinear field theories. A wide range of formulations and superposition schemes for

A Multidimensional Superposition Principle: Classical Solitons IV [PDF]

open access: hybridJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2018
Summary: A concept introduced previously [cf. Phys.Lett., A 278, 198--208 (2001; Zbl 0972.35117)] as an approach for finding superposition formulae for solutions of nonlinear PDEs and an explanation of various types of wave interactions in such systems is developed further, both from the theoretical and technical point of view.

Students’ understanding of electric flux and magnetic circulation and the role of the superposition principle in Gauss’s and Ampere’s laws [PDF]

open access: goldPhysical Review Physics Education Research
Electricity and magnetism are fundamentally interconnected, as represented by the symmetry in Maxwell’s equations. Much of the research on Gauss’s and Ampere’s laws has focused on their application in calculating electric or magnetic fields.

Rubber aging life prediction based on interpolation and improved time-temperature superposition principle

open access: goldMaterials Research Express, 2022
With focus on quickly and accurately predicting and evaluating the aging performance degradation of rubber at room temperature, the pseudo-failure life at each different acceleration temperature is proposed to be calculated by interpolation method based ...

The principle of superposition for waves [PDF]

open access: green, 2010
In this paper we will argue that the superposition of waves can be calculated and taught in a simple way. We show, using the Gauss's method to sum an arithmetic sequence, how we can construct the superposition of waves - with different frequencies - in a simple conceptual way that it is easy to teach.
