Sub-Quantum Thermodynamics as a Basis of Emergent Quantum Mechanics
This review presents results obtained from our group’s approach to model quantum mechanics with the aid of nonequilibrium thermodynamics. As has been shown, the exact Schrödinger equation can be derived by assuming that a particle of energy is actually ...

Superposition principle and Kirchhoff's integral theorem [PDF]
The need for modification of the Huygens-Fresnel superposition principle arises even in the description of the free fields of massive particles and, more extensively, in nonlinear field theories. A wide range of formulations and superposition schemes for secondary waves are captured by Kirchhoff's integral theorem.

Bäcklund Transformations for the Boussinesq Equation and Merging Solitons [PDF]
The B\"acklund transformation (BT) for the "good" Boussinesq equation and its superposition principles are presented and applied. Unlike many other standard integrable equations, the Boussinesq equation does not have a strictly algebraic superposition principle for 2 BTs, but it does for 3. We present associated lattice systems.

Quantum superposition principle and gravitational collapse: Scattering times for spherical shells
A quantum theory of spherically symmetric thin shells of null dust and their gravitational field is studied. In Nucl. Phys. 603 (2001) 515 (hep-th/0007005), it has been shown how superpositions of quantum states with different geometries can lead to a ...

Nonlocal Conduction in a Metawire
A 1D metawire composed of twisted copper wires is designed and realized. This metamaterial exhibits pronounced effects of nonlocal electric conduction according to Ohm's law. The current at one location not only depends on the electric field at that location but also on other locations.

Methods and approaches of determining the boundaries of agglomerations (basic case Kharkiv region)
Changes in social relations in Ukraine, its transition to a post-industrial society, structural changes in regional development lead in modern conditions to changes in the territorial organization of society, which directly affects the trends of regional

Kinetically Dormant Ni‐Rich Layered Cathode During High‐Voltage Operation
Ni‐rich layered cathode remains thermodynamically reversible but undergoes dramatic kinetic degradation at high voltage, leading to the commonly observed capacity loss that in fact can be recovered under kinetic‐free conditions. Such kinetic dormant behavior highly synchronizes with the lattice strain evolution stemming from layered/rock‐salt ...

Strategies achieving high‐energy‐density aqueous zinc‐ion batteries are summarized and analyzed from both their separate advancements and the integrated effectiveness in this review. Then, perspectives are given for valuable guidance for further development of high‐energy‐density aqueous zinc‐ion batteries.

Multidirectional Stimulation in an Isolated Murine Heart: A Computational Model
It is common to use very high electric fields (E) to defibrillate hearts, which can damage cardiomyocytes, showing the importance of developing methods that can decrease the E applied in defibrillation protocols.
