Influence of Laser Strategies on Performance of Lattice Structures from Magnesium Alloy WE43 Produced by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 7, April 2025.
The body‐centered‐cubic lattice structures from magnesium alloy WE43 with high relative material density (99.5%), fine microstructure, high mechanical properties (effective elastic modulus of 136 MPa), and material properties (Young's modulus of 40 GPa) are produced by laser beam powder bed fusion using hatch strategy with skywriting.

Rubber aging life prediction based on interpolation and improved time-temperature superposition principle

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2022
With focus on quickly and accurately predicting and evaluating the aging performance degradation of rubber at room temperature, the pseudo-failure life at each different acceleration temperature is proposed to be calculated by interpolation method based ...

Quantum test of the equivalence principle for atoms in superpositions of internal energy eigenstates

open access: yes, 2017
The Einstein Equivalence Principle (EEP) has a central role in the understanding of gravity and space-time. In its weak form, or Weak Equivalence Principle (WEP), it directly implies equivalence between inertial and gravitational mass.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Collapsing a perfect superposition to a chosen quantum state without measurement. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Given a perfect superposition of [Formula: see text] states on a quantum system of [Formula: see text] qubits. We propose a fast quantum algorithm for collapsing the perfect superposition to a chosen quantum state [Formula: see text] without applying any

Generalization of Classical Statistical Mechanics to Quantum Mechanics and Stable Property of Condensed Matter

open access: yes, 2005
Classical statistical average values are generally generalized to average values of quantum mechanics, it is discovered that quantum mechanics is direct generalization of classical statistical mechanics, and we generally deduce both a new general ...

Brownian dynamics investigation of the Boltzmann superposition principle for orthogonal superposition rheology.

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Physics, 2019
The most general linear equation describing the stress response at time t to a time-dependent shearing perturbation may be written as the integral over the past history t' of a time dependent relaxation modulus, depending on t - t', multiplied by the ...

Exploring Electronic States and Ultrafast Electron Dynamics in AlInP Window Layers: The Role of Surface Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.

Quantum-gravity effects could in principle be witnessed in neutrino-like oscillations

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2018
Two of us (Marletto and Vedral 2017 Phys. Rev. Lett . 119 240402) recently showed how the quantum character of a physical system, in particular the gravitational field, can in principle be witnessed without directly measuring observables of that system ...

Linear stochastic wave-equations for continuously measured quantum systems

open access: yes, 1994
While the linearity of the Schr\"odinger equation and the superposition principle are fundamental to quantum mechanics, so are the backaction of measurements and the resulting nonlinearity.
