Lie algebras all of whose subalgebras are supersolvable

open access: yes, 1986
A Lie algebra L is said to be minimal non supersolvable if all its subalgebras, except L itself, are ...

Supersolvable saturated matroids and chordal graphs [PDF]

open access: yes
A matroid is supersolvable if it has a maximal chain of flats, each of which is modular. A matroid is saturated if every round flat is modular. In this article we present supersolvable saturated matroids as analogues to chordal graphs, and we show that ...

Projective Modules and Blocks of Supersolvable Restricted Lie Algebras

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper we investigate the projective indecomposable modules for reduced universal enveloping algebras of a finite-dimensional supersolvable restricted Lie algebra and thereby generalize the results in [7].

On the supersolvable residual of an M-group

open access: yes, 2018
Using the technique of linear limits of characters due to Dade and Loukaki, we give some conditions on the supersolvable residual of a finite solvable group [Formula: see text] that is sufficient to guarantee that [Formula: see text] is an [Formula: see

On the solvable, nilpotent, and supersolvable groups of order at most two hundred [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The emphasis of this paper is to determine whether a group is solvable (resp., nilpotent, supersolvable) based on its order. Throughout the thesis, a number is considered solvable (resp., nilpotent, supersolvable) if every group of that particular order ...

Nilpotent by Supersolvable M-Groups

open access: yes, 1985
A character of a finite group G is monomial if it is induced from a linear (degree one) character of a subgroup of G. A group G is an M-group if all its complex irreducible characters (the set Irr(G)) are monomial. In [1], Dade gave an example of an M ...

Finite groups with supersolvable subgroup cofactors

open access: yes, 2008
Let in group О maximal subgroup cofactors be supersolvable. It is proved that non-Abelian composition factors are iso morphic to group PSL(2, p\ p - primes, p = ± 1 (mod 8). If group G is soluble then its nilpotent length does not exceed 3, p-length /ДО)

On rational K[pi,1] spaces and Koszul algebras

open access: yes, 1997
this paper were first studied in the arrangement setting in [2, 20, 21, 22, 14, 13]. Falk [13] studied conditions for X to be a rational K[ß; 1]. He proved that X is a rational K[ß; 1] for every arrangement of so called fiber-type.

On an explicit correspondence between nbc-basis, chambers and minimal complex for real supersolvable arrangements

open access: yesOn an explicit correspondence between nbc-basis, chambers and minimal complex for real supersolvable arrangements
In this paper we give a very natural description of the bijections between the set of cells in the minimal CW-complex homotopy equivalent to the complement of a complexified real supersolvable arrangement A, the nbc-basis of the Orlik-Solomon algebra associated to A and the set of chambers of A.

Free Hyperplane Arrangements with Exponents 1, 2 and at Most One 3 Are Supersolvable: A Proof of a Conjecture of Tohăneanu

open access: yes
Ş. O. Tohăneanu conjectured (Oberwolfach Report 5/2021, p. 284; Conjecture 4.1 of the preprint arXiv:1707.07091v3) that every central free hyperplane arrangement over a field of characteristic zero whose exponents are 1's, 2's and at most one 3 is supersolvable. We prove this conjecture in every rank.
