The NVIDIA Supersonic Sled is a full physics simulation of a mechanical assembly subjected to heavy loads. Using PhysX, CUDA, and DirectX 11, this demonstration uses real-time simulation and graphics techniques to produce a realistic and exhilarating experience of driving a powerful machine on the edge of control.

The Flow of a Supersonic Jet in a Supersonic Stream at an Angle of Attack
Journal of the Aerospace Sciences, 1958where M is the Mach Number, P the pressure, and the subscripts, 1 and 2, refer to the jet stream and the exterior flow, respectively. If k = 1, for two dimensions there are no reflections from the jet interface and the jet aligns itself with the original undisturbed flow in a finite distance.

Experimental investigation of supersonic gaseous injection into a supersonic free stream
34th Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 1996An experimental study of the mean and turbulent flowfield associated with low-angled supersonic gaseous injection into a supersonic freestream was performed. Air was injected at Mach 1.8, with an effective back pressure ratio of 3.0, through an orifice at an angle of 25 deg into a Mach 2.9 air freestream (Re/m - 15 x 10 6).

To produce supersonic laser propulsion, a new technique based on the interaction of a laser-ablated jet with supersonic gas flow in a nozzle is proposed. It is shown that such parameters of the jet, such as gas-plasma pressure and temperature in the ablation region as well as the mass consumption rate of the ablated solid propellant, are characteristic

Interaction of a supersonic stream and a transverse supersonic jet
AIAA Journal, 1964The present experimental study of a transverse jet discharging into a supersonic nozzle was undertaken to clarify the details of the flow. Results of wall and impact pressure measurements throughout the core of the interaction field, as well as flow visualization tests, are reported for 11 tests differing as systematically as possible by the injected ...

Publisher Summary The industrial use of jet ejectors, though already old enough, has been confined mainly to particular cases of operation. The experimental results obtained with such ejectors are therefore insufficient to allow a safe extrapolation of the performance curves to more general cases. Large-sized modern jet ejectors, driven by high-power
