Turbulence–chemistry interaction models with finite-rate chemistry and compressibility correction for simulation of supersonic turbulent combustion

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, 2020
The turbulence–chemistry interaction model with finite-rate chemistry is a common model for solving supersonic turbulent combustion and takes into consideration the interaction between turbulent mixing and chemical reactions as well as finite chemistry ...

Design of High‐Performance MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 Spinel Contact Material with Optimized Electrical Conductivity and Thermal Stability for Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells by Cu Doping

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Cu‐doped spinel MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 exhibits excellent conductivity and stability as SOC contact material. After 1000‐h aging at 850 °C, the contact layer maintains a 10 mΩ cm2 ASR value, and a single‐cell stack achieves a H2O/CO2 co‐electrolysis power density of 0.52 W cm−2.

A Review of Black Phosphorus‐Based Materials: From Preparation Strategies to Characterization Techniques

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The structure, properties, preparation methods, and characterization techniques of BP. As a typical 2D layered material, black phosphorus (BP) demonstrates exceptional promise in various fields, particularly in energy storage for alkali metal‐ion batteries. However, its distinctive structure and properties, together with the compositional complexity of

Supersonic burning in separated flow regions [PDF]

open access: yes
The trough vortex phenomena is used for combustion of hydrogen in a supersonic air stream. This was done in small sizes suitable for igniters in supersonic combustion ramjets so long as the boundary layer displacement thickness is less than 25% of the ...

The Dimensional Revolution of Phosphorus: From Allotropicity to Battery System Applications

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Phosphorus‐based materials are promising high‐capacity anodes classified by dimension (0D–3D) to systematically explore their properties and composite strategies. When combined with materials such as carbon to form heterostructures, the electrical conductivity and stability are effectively enhanced.

On diffusive supersonic combustion (chemical kinetic effects in diffusive supersonic combustion)

open access: yes, 1966
Simple analytical methods are presented for the analysis of chemical kinetic effects in supersonic combustion. Three different regions are shown to occur in supersonic diffusive combustion. The first region is close to the injector exit, where the flow may be considered frozen for the main reacting species and where the radical concentration is ...
