Numerical Study of Supersonic Cavity Flows with Different Turbulent Models
A numerical study of supersonic cavity flows is conducted with different turbulent models, including RANS, LES, DES, DDES, and IDDES. Firstly, a supersonic cavity-ramp flow with Ma∞ = 2.92 is simulated numerically.

Numerical simulation of gap effect in supersonic flows
The gap effect is a key factor in the design of the heat sealing in supersonic vehicles subjected to an aerodynamic heat load. Built on S-A turbulence model and Roe discrete format, the aerodynamic environment around a gap on the surface of a supersonic ...

Flow control in supersonic flow field based on micro jets
The flow field around supersonic aircraft is usually accompanied by complex flow phenomena, such as shock wave and shock wave/boundary layer interaction, which cause some adverse effects on aircraft performance. Seeking effective flow control methods has

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.
