Asymmetric separated flows at supersonic speeds
AIAA Journal, 1990Summary: An efficient multigrid, central difference, finite volume Navier-Stokes solver is used to study the ``natural occurrence'' of steady, anomalous, asymmetric separated ``locally conical'' flow solutions at high incidence and at supersonic speeds.

Body-Wing Interference at Supersonic Speeds
The Journal of the Royal Aeronautical Society, 1966SummaryA summary of available information on the problem of body-wing interference in supersonic flow has shown, inter alia, that a large number of theoretical methods are available for the prediction of interference characteristics. Many of these methods are chiefly concerned with the estimation of overall characteristics,i.e.normal force and pitching

Potential Vortex Cascades for Supersonic Speeds
1980The concept of parallel flow at the inlet and at the exit of cascades, on which, for instance, the honored’s paper referenced under [1] is based, can be realized exactly in non-viscous supersonic flow. First, the transition from parallel supersonic flow with distinct Mach numbers into potential vortex flow is defined.

Lift-to-drag ratio at supersonic speeds
Fluid Dynamics, 1994Wave lift-to-drag ratio is analyzed ignoring friction and using flows behind oblique shock waves and rarefaction waves. It is shown that the lift-to-drag ratio of an infinite oblique plate can surpass considerably that of triangular plates with subsonic, sonic, or supersonic edges.

Flow around a cone at supersonic speed
1987In memory of the educational efforts of Prof. Chien Wei-zang, the author presents this thesis in its original form, written when he was a senior student of Tsinghua University under the guidance of Prof. Chien in the period 1947–1948. The inviscid supersonic conical flow around a cone at zero angle of attack was analysed by the method of asymptotic ...
