M-Theory (the Theory Formerly Known as Strings) [PDF]
Superunification underwent a major paradigm shift in 1984 when eleven-dimensional supergravity was knocked off its pedestal by ten-dimensional superstrings.

Flux vacua in type IIB compactifications on orbifolds: their finiteness and minimal string coupling
We perform a detailed study of (supersymmetric) moduli stabilisation in type IIB toroidal orientifolds with fluxes. We provide strong evidence towards exhaustion of the finite number of inequivalent vacua for a given total 3-form flux charge N flux.

Moduli stabilization in asymptotic flux compactifications
We present a novel strategy to systematically study complex-structure moduli stabilization in Type IIB and F-theory flux compactifications. In particular, we determine vacua in any asymptotic regime of the complex-structure moduli space by exploiting ...

Tadpole conjecture in non-geometric backgrounds
Calabi-Yau compactifications have typically a large number of complex structure and/or Kähler moduli that have to be stabilised in phenomenologically-relevant vacua. The former can in principle be done by fluxes in type IIB solutions.

Heterotic Standard Model Moduli [PDF]
In previous papers, we introduced a heterotic standard model and discussed its basic properties. The Calabi-Yau threefold has, generically, three Kahler and three complex structure moduli. The observable sector of this vacuum has the spectrum of the MSSM

A note on O6 intersections in AdS flux vacua
The DGKT-CFI construction of AdS flux vacua in type IIA string theory has interesting features such as classical moduli stabilization and a parametric scale separation between the Hubble scale and the Kaluza-Klein scale.

Mass spectrum of type IIB flux compactifications — comments on AdS vacua and conformal dimensions
In this note we study the mass spectrum of type IIB flux compactifications. We first give a general discussion of the mass matrix for F-term vacua in four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 supergravity theories and then specialize to type IIB Calabi ...

A Standard Model from the E8 x E8 Heterotic Superstring [PDF]
In a previous paper, we introduced a heterotic standard model and discussed its basic properties. This vacuum has the spectrum of the MSSM with one additional pair of Higgs-Higgs conjugate fields and a small number of uncharged moduli. In this paper, the

Mirror symmetry for G 2-manifolds: twisted connected sums and dual tops
Recently, at least 50 million of novel examples of compact G 2 holonomy manifolds have been constructed as twisted connected sums of asymptotically cylindrical Calabi-Yau threefolds.

Static Domain Walls in N=1 Supergravity
We study supersymmetric domain walls in N=1 supergravity theories, including those with modular-invariant superpotentials arising in superstring compactifications. Such domain walls are shown to saturate the Bogomol'nyi bound of wall energy per unit area.
