Decomposition of BPS moduli spaces and asymptotics of supersymmetric partition functions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We present a prototype for Wilsonian analysis of asymptotics of supersymmetric partition functions of non-abelian gauge theories. Localization allows expressing such partition functions as an integral over a BPS moduli space.

The Supersymmetric Effective Field Theory of Inflation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We construct the Supersymmetric Effective Field Theory of Inflation, that is the most general theory of inflationary fluctuations when time-translations and supersymmetry are spontaneously broken. The non-linear realization of these invariances allows us to define a complete SUGRA multiplet containing the graviton, the gravitino, the Goldstone of time ...

Effective action of softly broken supersymmetric theories [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2007
We study the renormalization of (softly) broken supersymmetric theories at the one loop level in detail. We perform this analysis in a superspace approach in which the supersymmetry breaking interactions are parameterized using spurion insertions. We comment on the uniqueness of this parameterization.

Seiberg-Witten geometry, modular rational elliptic surfaces and BPS quivers

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We study the Coulomb branches of four-dimensional supersymmetric quantum field theories with N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 supersymmetry, including the KK theories obtained from the circle compactification of the 5d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 E n Seiberg theories,

Superspace first order formalism, trivial symmetries and electromagnetic interactions of linearized supergravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We introduce a first order description of linearized non-minimal (n = −1) supergravity in superspace, using the unconstrained prepotential superfield instead of the conventionally constrained super one forms.

Counting operators in N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Following a recent publication, in this paper we count the number of independent operators at arbitrary mass dimension in N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theories and derive their field and derivative content.

Instanton effects in supersymmetric gauge theories [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1985
Abstract We investigate how in supersymmetric gauge theories non-perturbative effects are able to generate non-trivial vacuum properties otherwise forbidden by perturbative non-renormalization theorems. This conclusion can be reliably drawn since the constancy of certain Green functions — due to supersymmetry (SUSY) — allows one to connect vacuum ...

Light threshold effects in supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1994
Supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories have a rich spectrum of particles barely heavier than the intermediate vector bosons. As their non-supersymmetric counterparts, they lead to many relations among low energy observables. But the precise form of the predictions is modified by the extended spectrum.

Exploring the strong-coupling region of SU(N) Seiberg-Witten theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We consider the Seiberg-Witten solution of pure N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 gauge theory in four dimensions, with gauge group SU(N). A simple exact series expansion for the dependence of the 2(N − 1) Seiberg-Witten periods a I (u), a DI (u) on the N − 1 ...
