Lectures on supersymmetric gauge theory [PDF]

open access: possibleClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2002
The paper consists of the lecture notes of a series of lectures given by the author on some recent developments in supersymmetric gauge theories. These include electric-magnetic duality, the AdS/CFT correspondence and Seiberg-Witten theory. The main author's conclusions are the following: (1) Seiberg-Witten theory conclusively demonstrates the ...

Decoupling in supersymmetric gauge theories

Physical Review D, 1989
The supersymmetric decoupling theorem is used to determine the low-energy effects of heavy-particle mass operators. This is achieved by exploiting the superconformal anomaly, as given by the trace of the supercurrent, in conjunction with renormalization-group techniques.

Quantization of supersymmetric gauge theories

Physical Review D, 1975
We consider the quantization of supersymmetric gauge theories in a rather general class of gauges. A generating functional is constructed that is supersymmetric, for which we formulate the Ward--Takahashi identities of the local gauge invariance. The existence of a supermultiplet of ghost fields is established.

SUPERSYMMETRIC TENSOR GAUGE THEORIES

Modern Physics Letters A, 1989
The supersymmetric extensions of anti-symmetric tensor gauge theories and their associated tensor gauge symmetry transformations are constructed. The classical equivalence between such supersymmetric tensor gauge theories and supersymmetric non-linear sigma models is established.

Geometrical origin of supersymmetric gauge theories

Physical Review D, 1989
We show that the kinematical properties of any supersymmetric gauge theory may be obtained by mapping a geometric group structure of loops in superspace into some particular Lie group. The underlying group structure of the usual constrained supergauge theories turns out to be the group of even (bosonic) loops.

Phases of Supersymmetric Gauge Theories [PDF]

open access: possible, 2005
SUMMARY During the last years remarkable progress was made in deriving exact results for the dynamics of supersymmetric gauge theories. In particular the knowledge of the low energy effective action characterizes unequivocally the phases which appear in these theories.

Radiative corrections in supersymmetric gauge theories

Physical Review D, 1985
The effect of radiative corrections in a general supersymmetric gauge theory is studied when the gauge symmetry is partially broken at the tree level. Certain no-renormalization theorems are proved.
