Supersymmetric quantum mechanics on the lattice: III. Simulations and algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the fermion loop formulation the contributions to the partition function naturally separate into topological equivalence classes with a definite sign.

Modeling General Asymptotic Calabi–Yau Periods

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract In the quest to uncovering the fundamental structures that underlie some of the asymptotic Swampland conjectures the authors initiate the general study of asymptotic period vectors of Calabi–Yau manifolds. The strategy is to exploit the constraints imposed by completeness, symmetry, and positivity, which are formalized in asymptotic Hodge ...

An Introduction to Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics

open access: yes, 2019
In this thesis, the general framework of supersymmetric quantum mechanics and the path integral approach will be presented (as well as the worked out example of the supersymmetric harmonic oscillator).

The superfield quantisation of a superparticle action with an extended line element [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A massive superparticle action based on the generalised line element in N = 1 global superspace is quantised canonically. A previous method of quantising this action, based on a Fock space analysis, showed that states existed in three supersymmetric ...

Planarizable Supersymmetric Quantum Toboggans

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2011
In supersymmetric quantum mechanics the emergence of a singularity may lead to the breakdown of isospectrality between partner potentials. One of the regularization recipes is based on a topologically nontrivial, multisheeted complex deformations of the ...

An angular dependent supersymmetric quantum mechanics with a Z2-invariant potential

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
We generalize the conformally invariant topological quantum mechanics of a particle propagating on a punctured plane by introducing a potential that breaks both the rotational and the conformal invariance down to a Z2 angular-dependent discrete symmetry.

On the geometry of supersymmetric quantum mechanical systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2008
We consider some simple examples of supersymmetric quantum mechanical systems and explore their possible geometric interpretation with the help of geometric aspects of real Clifford algebras. This leads to natural extensions of the considered systems to higher dimensions and more complicated potentials.

Harmonic Superfields in N=4 Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2011
This is a brief survey of applications of the harmonic superspace methods to the models of N=4 supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SQM). The main focus is on a recent progress in constructing SQM models with couplings to the background non-Abelian gauge ...

Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics and Index Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1983
Supersymmetric quantum mechanics is discussed in the spaces of one and three dimensions. The structure of the continuum portion of the spectrum of the hamiltonian is investigated by making use of Callias' and Weinberg's generalized index theorems. The difference of the densities of bosonic and fermionic states at a fixed energy is calculated and it ...

Foundations of Ghost Stability

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract The authors present a new method to analytically prove global stability in ghost‐ridden dynamical systems. The proposal encompasses all prior results and consequentially extends them. In particular, it is shown that stability can follow from a conserved quantity that is unbounded from below, contrary to expectation.
