Fixed points in supersymmetric extensions of the standard model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
We search for weakly interacting fixed points in extensions of the minimally supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Necessary conditions lead to three distinct classes of anomaly-free extensions involving either new quark singlets, new quark doublets, or ...

Fluxed minimal supersymmetric standard model [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2005
Recent developments in string compactifications in the presence of antisymmetric field backgrounds suggest a new simple and predictive structure for soft terms in the MSSM depending only on two parameters. They give rise to a positive definite scalar potential, a solution to the $\ensuremath{\mu}$-problem, flavor universality and absence of a SUSY-CP ...

The minimally tuned minimal supersymmetric standard model [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2008
The regions in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with the minimal amount of fine-tuning of electroweak symmetry breaking are presented for general messenger scale. No a priori relations among the soft supersymmetry breaking parameters are assumed and fine-tuning is minimized with respect to all the important parameters which affect electroweak ...

Modeling General Asymptotic Calabi–Yau Periods

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract In the quest to uncovering the fundamental structures that underlie some of the asymptotic Swampland conjectures the authors initiate the general study of asymptotic period vectors of Calabi–Yau manifolds. The strategy is to exploit the constraints imposed by completeness, symmetry, and positivity, which are formalized in asymptotic Hodge ...

Supersymmetric D-term Twin Higgs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We propose a new type of supersymmetric Twin Higgs model where the SU(4) invariant quartic term is provided by a D-term potential of a new U(1) gauge symmetry.

Programmable photonic unitary circuits for light computing

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 10, Page 1429-1449, May 2025.
Abstract Unitarity serves as a fundamental concept for characterizing linear and conservative wave phenomena in both classical and quantum systems. Developing platforms that perform unitary operations on light waves in a universal and programmable manner enables the emulation of complex light–matter interactions and the execution of general‐purpose ...

A minimally fine-tuned supersymmetric standard model [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2005
We construct supersymmetric theories in which the correct scale for electroweak symmetry breaking is obtained without significant fine-tuning. We calculate the fine-tuning parameter for these theories to be at the 20% level, which is significantly better than in conventional supersymmetry breaking scenarios. Supersymmetry breaking occurs at a low scale

Dark Dimension With (Little) Strings Attached

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract A relation between dark energy and the scale of new physics in weakly coupled string theory is motivated. This mixing between infrared and ultraviolet physics leads to a unique corner for real‐world phenomenology: barring fine‐tunings, the authors are naturally led to the “dark dimension” scenario, a single mesoscopic extra dimension of micron

Muon (g − 2) in the B-LSSM

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
The difference between the updated experimental result on the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment and the corresponding theoretical prediction of the standard model on that is about 4.2 standard deviations. In this work, we calculate the muon anomalous

Foundations of Ghost Stability

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract The authors present a new method to analytically prove global stability in ghost‐ridden dynamical systems. The proposal encompasses all prior results and consequentially extends them. In particular, it is shown that stability can follow from a conserved quantity that is unbounded from below, contrary to expectation.
