Spontaneous symmetry breaking and pseudo-supersymmetry

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2006
The phenomena of spontaneous PT symmetry breaking, associated with non-Hermitian Hamiltonians, are investigated. It is shown that spontaneous breakdown of PT symmetry is accompanied by the explicit breakdown of pseudo-supersymmetry. We also discuss in detail the resulting structure.

Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking of Gauge Supersymmetry

Physical Review Letters, 1976
Spontaneous symmetry breaking of gauge supersymmetry to global supersymmetry is seen to determine in part the internal-symmetry gauge group through the equations ${R}_{\mathrm{AB}}=\ensuremath{\lambda}{g}_{\mathrm{AB}}$. For the case $\ensuremath{\lambda}\ensuremath{\ne}0$ the determination is complete, the resultant group being the U(1) Maxwell ...

Explicit symmetry breaking in supersymmetry theories

Journal of Physics G: Nuclear Physics, 1977
The problem of explicit supersymmetry breaking is discussed, mainly in the context of a simple fermion-number-conserving model.

Loop corrections to radiative breaking of electroweak symmetry in supersymmetry

Physical Review D, 1992
One-loop corrections to the radiative breaking of electroweak symmetry in supergravity unified models are analyzed. It is shown that in a physically interesting domain of parameter space there is a large cancellation among the contributions of the first two generations of squarks and the three generations of sleptons to the vacuum expectation value ...

Gauge Symmetry Breaking which Preserves Supersymmetry

1982
Spontaneously — broken Yang-Mills theory provides the theoretical framework for description of electroweak forces and of grand unification of strong and electroweak forces. In the last year it has become highly fashionable to consider the generalization thereof to include unextended global supersymmetry.
