Holomorphic field theories and higher algebra
Abstract Aimed at complex geometers and representation theorists, this survey explores higher dimensional analogs of the rich interplay between Riemann surfaces, Virasoro and Kac‐Moody Lie algebras, and conformal blocks. We introduce a panoply of examples from physics — field theories that are holomorphic in nature, such as holomorphic Chern‐Simons ...

Metastable supersymmetry breaking in terms of Peccei–Quinn mechanism
Gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking at metastable vacuum is reconsidered in terms of the Peccei–Quinn (PQ) mechanism. We suggest that for acceptable μ-value generation, such a class of model should involve messenger mass generation via the PQ-breaking ...

Weak-ergodicity-breaking via lattice supersymmetry [PDF]
We study the spectral properties of $D$-dimensional $N=2$ supersymmetric lattice models. We find systematic departures from the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH) in the form of a degenerate set of ETH-violating supersymmetric (SUSY) doublets ...

Supersymmetry breaking in M-theory [PDF]
We describe the breaking of supersymmetry in M-theory by coordinate dependent (Scherk-Schwarz) compactification of the eleventh dimension. Supersymmetry is spontaneously broken in the gravitational and moduli sector and communicated to the observable sector, living at the end-point of the semicircle, by radiative gravitational interactions.

Applications of the Dressing Field Method are reviewed and further expanded to the very foundations of the supersymmetric framework, where it allows to build relational supersymmetric field theory. Furthermore, a novel approach is proposed giving a unified description of fermionic matter fields and bosonic gauge fields: a Matter‐Interaction ...

Supersymmetry Breaking and Dilaton Stabilization in String Gas Cosmology
In this Note we study supersymmetry breaking via gaugino condensation in string gas cosmology. We show that the same gaugino condensate which is introduced to stabilize the dilaton breaks supersymmetry.

1D Majorana Goldstinos and partial supersymmetry breaking in quantum wires
Majorana modes realised in topological superconductors are expected to be an important feature for quantum information processing applications.

Brane mediated supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
We propose a mechanism for mediating supersymmetry breaking in Type I string constructions. The basic set-up consists of a system of three D-branes: two parallel D-branes, a matter D-brane and a source D-brane, with supersymmetry breaking communicated via a third D-brane, the mediating D-brane, which intersects both of the parallel D-branes. We discuss

A new type of artificial spin ice (ASI) lattices, i.e., in the ASI system embedded in the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) matrix, is proposed. The numerical simulations reveal a strong magnon–magnon coupling between the bulk second‐order mode of the ASI and the fundamental mode of the PMA matrix, supported by a pronounced anticrossing frequency

Radiative Scherk-Schwarz supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
We analyze the Scherk-Schwarz (SS) supersymmetry breaking in brane-world five dimensional theories compactified on the orbifold $S^1/\mathbb{Z}_2$. The SS breaking parameter is undetermined at the tree-level (no-scale supergravity) and can be interpreted
