Treatment of supine hypertension in autonomic failure with gastrostomy feeding at night

Autonomic Neuroscience, 2008
Supine hypertension and post-prandial hypotension are associated with chronic autonomic failure, and may prove resistant to treatment. We determined if the hypotensive effects of food could be utilised to reduce supine hypertension in pure autonomic failure (PAF).A subject with long-standing PAF, documented supine hypertension and post-prandial ...

Use of supine pressor test to prevent gestational hypertension in primigravid women

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1978
The supine pressor (roll-over) test was performed on 62 nulliparous patients under 20 years of age at conception. The 28 patients (45%) with positive tests were treated to prevent the development of gestational hypertension. Four of those with a positive test and two of those with a negative test developed gestational hypertension.
