Characterizations of Supports of Balayaged Measures [PDF]
Beurling and Deny [1], [2] introduced Dirichlet spaces by generalizing the notion of“energy”in potential theory. They showed the existences of balayaged measures and condensor measures in the theory of Dirichlet spaces. The purpose of this paper is to characterize the supports of those measures. First we obtain the following result.

A representation of Gibbs measure for the random energy model
In this work we consider a problem related to the equilibrium statistical mechanics of spin glasses, namely the study of the Gibbs measure of the random energy model. For solving this problem, new results of independent interest on sums of spacings for i.

Measuring Perceived Social Support in Mexican American Youth: Psychometric Properties of the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support [PDF]
The utility of the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) (Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, & Farley, 1988) was investigated within a sample of 290 Mexican American adolescents.

Reconstruction of Support of a Measure From Its Moments
In this paper, we address the problem of reconstruction of support of a measure from its moments. More precisely, given a finite subset of the moments of a measure, we develop a semidefinite program for approximating the support of measure using level ...

Simulation and Experiment Analysis of Temperature Field of Magnetic Suspension Support Based on FBG
Temperature rise is an important factor limiting the development of magnetic suspension support technology. Traditional temperature sensors such as thermocouples are complicated and vulnerable to electromagnetic interference due to their point contact ...

A Peer Support Scale for Adults Treated for Psychoactive Substance–Use Disorder: A Rasch Analysis
The literature suggests that peer support is protective of relapse for adults treated for substance-use disorder. However, to our knowledge there is no standard measure of peer support. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to use Rasch analysis to

Introduction Social support may be important in the perpetuation of symptoms in chronic low back pain (CLBP). The multidimensional scale of perceived social support (MSPSS) is one of the best measures of social support with applicability in Africa.

Construction and Validation of a Scale to Measure College EFL Students’ Perceived Teacher Support
Students’ perceived teacher support (SPTS) is considered crucial to students’ learning. But most existing SPTS scales were developed for the field of general education, and there is a lack of studies that attempt to develop a tailored scale specifically ...
