Fast Support Vector Machine Classification using linear SVMs [PDF]

open access: yes18th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR'06), 2006
We propose a classification method based on a decision tree whose nodes consist of linear Support Vector Machines (SVMs). Each node defines a decision hyperplane that classifies part of the feature space. For large classification problems (with many Support Vectors (SVs)) it has the advantage that the classification time does not depend on the number ...

Deep Brain Stimulation Induces Antidepressant Effects by Restoring High‐Fidelity Communication in the BNST‐NAc Circuit

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This cross‐species study reveals that pathological hyperactivity of BNST neurons in depressive states disrupts inhibitory period and isolated spikes in the BNST‐NAc circuit. DBS achieves its antidepressant effects by precisely restoring network inhibitory periods and high‐fidelity signal transmission.

Manuscript Rainfall Prediction using Support Vector Machine (SVM)

open access: yesINTERANTIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, 2023
In the course of this research, we conducted an examination that specifically aimed to predict hourly rainfall. The approach we adopted for this analysis treated the problem as a binary classification task, where we categorized rainfall events into two groups: "rainy" (considered the positive class) and "non-rainy" (designated as the negative class ...
