catena-Poly[[tetraaquacopper(II)]-μ-trithionato-κ2O:O′]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
The title supramolecular polymer, [Cu(S3O6)(H2O)4]n, features a tetragonally distorted octahedral CuII centre within an O6 donor set with the longer Cu—O bonds linking the dication and the trithionate dianion.

Adaptive Supramolecular Interactions Govern Redox‐Active Molecules in Aqueous Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Adaptive supramolecular interactions overcome the solubility‐stability trade‐off in aqueous redox flow batteries. Hydrophobic anions disrupt intrinsic π–π stacking to enable high solubility, while redox‐state‐dependent spin pairing and cation coordination dynamically stabilize reactive intermediates during operation.

Investigation of supramolecular organization of polyetherisocyanatesiloxanes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The characteristics of the supramolecular organization of polyetherisocyanatesiloxanes are inferred from measurements of the temperature dependence of the dielectric loss tangent.

Supramolecular polymer networks of building blocks prepared via RAFT polymerization

open access: yes, 2014
A novel A2B3-type supramolecular polymer network was synthesized using two precision tailored building blocks: doubly-adamantyl end-capped poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide) and a three-pronged β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) core.

Rubber‐Glass‐Crystal Triple Phase Transition in Polyacrylamide Hydrogels and Environment‐Adaptive Shape Memory Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
By analyzing the thermal‐mechanical properties and molecular‐scale interactions in polyacrylamide (PAAM) hydrogels, this research demonstrates a rubber‐glass‐crystal phase transition under the combined stimuli of temperature and moisture. Because of these hybrid phase transitions, PAAM hydrogels exhibit shape memory behavior in thermal and moist ...

Superstructures of fluorescent cyclodextrin via click-reaction

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2013
Mono-(6-azido-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin (CD) was covalently attached to an alkyne-modified 5-methyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl)thiazol-4-ol yielding a fluorophore containing CD in a click-type reaction.

Tuneable side-chain supramolecular polymer

open access: yes, 2007
A random copolymer containing 1,5-dialkyloxynaphthalene moieties has been synthesized using atom-transfer radical polymerization. We have shown that this polymer has the ability to form complexes with the tetracationic cyclophane cyclobis(paraquat-p ...

Culinary Chemistry as a Platform for Interfacial Materials Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Culinary processes control interfaces through heating, shear, gelation, and molecular transport. This Review connects selected gastronomic examples with food‐derived nanomaterials, plasmonic sensing, anthocyanin photovoltaics, and intelligent packaging. Original agar‐based plasmonic films illustrate the proposed translation.

A Critical Review on the Evolution of Chitosan‐Based Injectable Hydrogels in Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The graphical illustration depicts hydrogel formulation using chitosan and biocompatible cross‐linkers, major advantages, and incorporation of cells, osteoinductive factors, and therapeutic drugs. Following injection, pH‐responsive gelation enables controlled drug release, promotes cell recruitment and osteogenic differentiation, enhances extracellular
