A Novel Merocyanine Derivative for Probing Polarity at Cubosome Interfaces

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
This study reports the development of a synthetic route for the chemical environment sensor C10SP, designed for incorporation into phytantriol‐based cubosomes. The molecule combines an apolar aliphatic tail for lipid bilayer anchoring with a polarity‐sensitive chromophore.

Synthesis of a Molecular Tweezer Based on Norbornadiene Framework: Unexpected Stereoselectivity

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A new type of Klarner's molecular tweezer was synthesized through annulation of an α‐amino ketone. Surprisingly, the reaction takes place stereoselectivity though the initial amino ketone is racemic. This tweezer comprises two near‐parallel flat aromatic rings as pincers, each bearing two methyl ester groups, and a pyrazine unit as the tether ...

A Triptycene‐Based Cage Host for Aromatic Hydrocarbon Guests

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A molecular cage consisting of two tripodal triptycene units and three diphenylacetylene linkers includes aromatic guests such as anthracene, acenaphthylene, and pyrene into the cavity. The association constants of the host–guest complexation were determined by the 1H NMR titration.

Atropisomerism in Triarylboranes: Lewis Base Assisted Rotation at C−B Stereogenic Axis in Asymmetrical Boron Lewis Acids

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
From decades to minutes: regulation of the rotation speed at the C−B chirality axis by peri‐substituents and Lewis acid‐base interactions in unprecedented triarylboranes with a C−B stereogenic axis enabled to reach atropostable and enantiopure triarylboranes.

Mixing Functionality in Polymer Electrolytes: A New Horizon for Achieving High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrated a supramolecularly extended/cross‐linked polymer electrolyte (PCPE) by introducing an elaborate MBO plasticizer in polymer matrix for ASSLMBs. This innovative PCPE system possesses unique topological cross‐linking structure and Lewis‐acid interaction driven MBO‐salt assembly superstructure, effectively overcomes the discrepancy between ...
