Hydrophobicity‐Controlled Self‐Assembly of Supramolecular Peptide Nanotubes in Water
Cyclic peptide–polymer conjugates, with varied length of hydrophobic alkyl linker group, are synthesized and assembled into nanotubes in water. Both synthetic studies and computational molecular dynamics simulations confirm the degree of hydrophobicity, providing an avenue to tune the length and dynamic nature of the peptide nanotubes. Abstract Polymer‐

Bio‐Inspired Self‐Assembly of Enzyme‐Micelle Systems for Semi‐Artificial Photosynthesis
This study introduces a bio‐hybrid assembly inspired by lipid‐protein interactions in nature by utilizing photosensitized surfactants that self‐assemble into light‐absorbing micellar scaffolds capable of interfacing with hydrogenases and formate dehydrogenases. This semi‐artificial approach enabled benchmark turnover numbers for solar H2 production and

Diels–Alder bond‐crosslinked liquid crystal elastomers with low nematic‐to‐isotropic transition temperatures and high reprogrammability were developed, enabling low‐energy, self‐sustained actuators through material‐structure synergy. These actuators achieve high strain rates around 30 °C, facilitating self‐sustaining motion powered by ambient/body heat

A series of chiral luminescent ion pair (CLIP) materials based on chiral anion strategy were synthesized with high‐performance circularly polarized phosphorescence (CPP) in amorphous states. The trade‐off problem between good processability and high asymmetry factor was solved by constructing CLIP molecules and utilizing polymer entanglement or rapid ...

A Key Fragment in Carbon Schwarzite Unit Cells and Its Triple [6]Helicene Precursor
Adjusting the conditions of Scholl reactions has enabled the selective synthesis of polycyclic arenes with two related π‐skeletons. One π‐skeleton is a key fragment of theoretical carbon schwarzites, while the other is a triple [6]helicene, which exhibits unique supramolecular structures in the clathrate with chloroform and an absorption dissymmetry ...
