Complete Absence of Suprascapular Notch: A Case Report [PDF]
Suprascapular Nerve Entrapment (SSNE) is an acquired neuropathy secondary to compression of suprascapular nerve in the Suprascapular Notch (SSN). Complete ossification of superior transverse scapular ligament may be a cause for suprascapular nerve ...

Neuromodulation of the Suprascapular Nerve
The shoulder joint is an enarthrodial or ball-and-socket joint. A complex network of anatomic structures endows the human shoulder with tremendous mobility, greater than any other joint in the body. Many pathologies can been found in those patients with chronic shoulder pain. The painful limitation of shoulder motion affects hand and arm motion as well;

Arthroscopic suprascapular nerve decompression at the suprascapular notch
AbstractRelease of a transverse scapular ligament (TSL) is indicated for the entrapment of the suprascapular nerve (SSN). Previous arthroscopic techniques use step‐wise reference landmarks leading to the notch to identify a TSL, and the key landmarks are the conoid ligament of the coracoclavicular ligament and the coracoid.

Decompression of the suprascapular nerve (SSNe) at the suprascapular notch (SSNo) is usually performed with an arthroscopic procedure. This technique is well described but locating the nerve is complex because it is deeply buried and surrounded by soft ...

Brachial plexus injury mimicking a spinal-cord injury. [PDF]
Objective High-energy impact to the head, neck, and shoulder can result in cervical spine as well as brachial plexus injuries. Because cervical spine injuries are more common, this tends to be the initial focus for management.

Ultrasonography study of the suprascapular nerve
The aim of the study was to evaluate the assessability of the suprascapular nerve (SSN) by ultrasonography in cadavers and healthy volunteers.With ultrasonography guidance, needles were placed at origin of the SSN of four cadavers and evaluated by dissection.
