Successful ablation of concealed accessory pathway mediated supraventricular tachycardia in a 5-year-old child with Ebstein anomaly

open access: yesActa Clinica Croatica
Here we report a case of a 5-year-old boy with Ebstein anomaly and supraventricular tachycardia. He was diagnosed with Ebstein anomaly at the age of 3 months during the workup for afebrile convulsions, and has been followed by a pediatric cardiologist ...

Potential health benefits of cold‐water immersion: the central role of PGC‐1α

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Cold‐water immersion (CWI) elicits autonomic, somato‐motoric (shivering thermogenesis), endocrine and metabolic, sensory transduction, and local biophysical effects that may converge on the transcriptional co‐activator PGC‐1α (centre).

Dordaviprone Maintenance After Allogeneic HCT for High‐Risk Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Neoplasm

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 9, Page 2288-2296, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Dordaviprone is a first‐in‐class small‐molecule imipridone. In preclinical studies, it is active against leukemia cells harboring a TP53 mutation or complex karyotype and leukemia stem cells while sparing normal bone marrow cells. This study aimed to determine the safety of dordaviprone maintenance after allogeneic hematopoietic cell ...

Supraventricular tachyarrhythmia in patients with Brugada syndrome: A single-center study

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2013
Background: Brugada syndrome is a distinct form of idiopathic ventricular fibrillation. We retrospectively investigated the incidence and clinical implications of supraventricular tachyarrhythmia in patients with Brugada syndrome. Methods: We reviewed 69

Home telemonitoring in high‐risk pregnancies: A Finnish retrospective cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 9, Page 1689-1697, September 2026.
This retrospective study suggests that home telemonitoring may provide an acceptable approach for managing selected high‐risk pregnancies. Safe and effective implementation requires careful patient selection and adherence to evidence‐based clinical protocols.

The Significance of rS Change in the V2 Lead for Diagnosing Ventricular Tachycardia Deserves Attention: A Case Report

open access: yesCardiology Discovery
. Occasionally, incessant ventricular tachycardia (VT) exhibits a narrow QRS complex pattern that could be misdiagnosed as supraventricular tachycardia.

Atypical Clinical Course of Griscelli Syndrome Type 2 With Primarily Neurologic Presentation and Adult‐Onset in a 46‐Year‐Old Male

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 200, Issue 8, Page 1850-1855, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Griscelli Syndrome Type 2 (GS2) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by pathogenic mutations in the RAB27A gene. Typically, it is characterized by cutaneous hypopigmentation, immunodeficiency, with or without neurological abnormalities secondary to hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Without treatment, GS2 often results in fatal

Supraventricular Tachycardia in Children

open access: yesПедиатрическая фармакология, 2019
Rhythm and conduction disorders of the heart occupy one of the leading places in the structure of cardiovascular pathology in children. Supraventricular tachycardias means tachyarrhythmias, caused by abnormal myocardial excitation with the source of ...

Preoperative Avapritinib for Localized PDGFRA‐Mutant GIST: Marked Pathologic Response, but Limited Feasibility at Standard Dosing

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
In this two‐center retrospective series of eight patients with localized PDGFRA‐mutant gastric GIST treated with preoperative avapritinib, therapy produced substantial antitumor activity, including tumor reduction in 7 of 8 patients and complete or near‐complete pathologic response in all resected patients.

A Concealed Typical AVNRT: U Wave Contribution in Simulating Long RP Supraventricular Tachycardia

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate identification of P waves on electrocardiogram (ECG) is essential in supraventricular tachycardias because U waves may resemble retrograde P waves, producing a pseudo–long RP interval and hiding typical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT).
