Immunoassay employing surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy

Analytical Biochemistry, 1989
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was used to measure binding between biomolecules with mutual affinity, including antigen-antibody interactions. The conjugation of nitro groups onto bovine serum albumin enhanced their specific SERS activity 10(4)-fold.

Surface enhanced raman spectroscopy

2007
The differential scattering cross-section of many molecules is greatly influenced by adsorption of these molecules at metal surfaces. This phenomenon is known in the literature as “surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)”. Enhancement factors as large as 105…106 have been observed.

Surface-Enhanced Hyper-Raman Spectroscopy

Applied Spectroscopy Reviews, 1991
Abstract Hyper-Raman scattering (HRS), first theoretically predicted by Decius and Rauch in 1959 [l] and experimentally demonstrated by Terhune et al. in 1965 [2], is a nonlinear optical process involving two incident photons (ω0) and one emitted photon (ω).

Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy Method

2009
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) in combination with advanced multivariate methods for pattern recognition has been used for rapid, sensitive, and accurate identification of miRNAs. The strength of the SERS-based sensor is its sensitivity to detect extremely low levels of analyte and specificity to provide the molecular fingerprint of the ...

Adaptive Gap-Tunable Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

Nano Letters
Gap plasmon (GP) resonance in static surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) structures is generally too narrow and not tunable. Here, we present an adaptive gap-tunable SERS device to selectively enhance and modulate different vibrational modes via active flexible Au nanogaps, with adaptive optical control.
