Advances in surface-enhanced vibrational spectroscopy at electrochemical interfaces
Electrochemical interfaces are ubiquitous, and characterisation tools that allow us to interrogate them on the molecular scale underpin a wide range of technologies. Because of their dynamic nature, in situ or operando measurement is often necessary, and

Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy of neurotransmitters [PDF]
The surface‐enhanced Raman spectra (SERS) of neurotransmitters in biological matrices and synthetic solutions are described. The effects of protein adsorption on cathecholamine SERS intensity are discussed. Techniques for obtaining dopamine SERS spectra in cerebrospinal fluid and rat brain dialysate are demonstrated.

New aspects of operando Raman spectroscopy applied to electrochemical CO2 reduction on Cu foams [PDF]
The mechanism of electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2RR) on copper surfaces is still insufficiently understood. Operando Raman spectroscopy is ideally suited to elucidate the role of adsorbed reaction intermediates and products.

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy study of 4-ATP on gold nanoparticles for basal cell carcinoma fingerprint detection [PDF]
The surface-enhanced Raman signals of 4-aminothiophenol (4-ATP) attached to the surface of colloidal gold nanoparticles with size distribution of 2 to 5 nm were used as a labeling agent to detect basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of the skin. The enhanced Raman

Role of Raman spectroscopy and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy in colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth most common cancer in the United Kingdom and is the second largest cause of cancer related death in the United Kingdom after lung cancer. Currently in the United Kingdom there is not a diagnostic test that has sufficient differentiation between patients with cancer and those without cancer so the current referral ...
