Atomically Modulating Competing Exchange Interactions in Centrosymmetric Skyrmion Hosts GdRu2X2 (X = Si and Ge)

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Our work bridges the gap between skyrmion discovery and material design by demonstrating how atomic‐scale control of exchange interactions enables tunable skyrmion phase transitions in centrosymmetric magnetic metals. ABSTRACT Magnetic skyrmions are topologically protected spin states that hold promise for shaping the future of electronics.

Numerical and Experimental Analysis of the Response of a SAW Structure with WO3 Layers on Action of Carbon Monoxide

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2014
The paper presents the results of an analysis of gaseous sensors based on a surface acoustic wave (SAW) by means of the equivalent model theory. The applied theory analyzes the response of the SAW sensor in the steady state affected by carbon monoxide ...

The axisymmetric Rayleigh waves in a semi-infinite elastic solid

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, 2020
: It is well-known that Rayleigh wave, also known as surface acoustic wave (SAW), solutions in semi-infinite solids are plane waves with signatory properties like the distinct velocity and exponentially decaying deformation in the depth.

Surface Charges Guided Quasi‐TEM‐mode Microwave Propagation along Dielectric Nanowire

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
According to Maxwell's equations, a single‐conductor transmission line cannot allow TEM‐mode electromagnetic wave propagation, however, this is based upon the assumption that dielectric material is isolated from the environment. In practice, surface electrostatic charges widely existed in nano‐materials with large surface‐to‐volume ratio.

Force stimulation promotes nerve regeneration by restoring cellular energy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Mechanical stimulation can help nerves regenerate in various ways. We developed two devices (a piezo‐motor‐driven stretching device and a SAW‐based actuator) to apply mechanical stimulation to sciatic nerve and DRG neurons. Our study shows that appropriate mechanical force stimulation can promote regeneration by restoring the energy supply to the ...
