Surface active properties of soil humic acids

Science of The Total Environment, 1987
Abstract For gel permeation chromatography of humic acids, use of a neutral phosphate buffer containing 2 M urea is recommended. It was determined that the excluded fraction increased with an increase in standing time of sample in buffer solution before injection into the column. From the gel permeation chromatography of mixed samples of excluded and

[The surface-active properties of angiotensin].

Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1993
The surface activity of angiotensin-2 was studied using the method of dynamical capacitor and Wilgelmi. Angiotensin was shown to possess the surface activity, forming well regulated insoluble monolayers of liquid-gas interfaces with peptide adsorption of 3.7 x 10(-6) M/sm2 and area of 0.45 nm2 per one molecule.

Surface active properties of sulfonated isoricinoleic acid

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1990
AbstractA new anionic surfactant, sulfonated isoricinoleic acid, was prepared by sulfonation of isoricinoleic acid. Surface active properties, such as surface tension, interfacial tension, emulsifiability, dispersibility and foaming power of sulfonated isoricinoleic acid (SIRA), and sulfonated castor oil or turkey red oil (TRO) were studied and ...

SURFACE-ACTIVE PROPERTIES OF ALKANOLAMIDES

Herald of Technological University
The indicators of the wetting ability of surfaces with aqueous solutions of the studied alkanolamides based on distilled fatty acids of rapeseed (DKRMA) and sunflower (DKPMA) oils were studied and monoethanolamide. The sizes of surfactant components were diagnosed using high-precision instruments: a DataPhysics DCAT 21 tensiometer and a 90Plus/BI-MAS ...

Surface active properties of silicone containing polymers

Polymer Bulletin, 1983
The efficiency and durability of surface modification of poly(methyl methacrylate) [PMMA] by silicone containing graft and random copolymers were studied by contact angle measurement of water droplet. The efficiency principally depended on the content of the siloxane; however, the durability of surface modification to hexane extraction differed ...

The antiseptic properties of surface active agents

Oil & Soap, 1945
Soap has always been and still is a valuable antiseptic agent. Among the new synthetic detergents products are available which can be used in neutral or acid solutions to give a much stronger antiseptic action than is possible with soap solutions. These new detergents are valuable because a really worthwhile antiseptic action is obtained from products ...
