Giant magnetoimpedance: new electrochemical option to monitor surface effects?

open access: yes, 2006
Magnetoimpedance, MI, change due to surface modification of the sensitive element caused by biofluids was studied with the aim of creating a robust sensor capable of separating the chemical surface modification from the sensing process.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Surface Melting of the Vortex Lattice in Layered Superconductors: Density Functional Theory

open access: yes, 2006
We study the effects of an $ab$-surface on the vortex-solid to vortex-liquid transition in layered superconductors in the limit of vanishing inter-layer Josephson coupling.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

The domain of parabolicity for the Muskat problem

open access: yes, 2018
We address the well-posedness of the Muskat problem in a periodic geometry and in a setting which allows us to consider general initial and boundary data, gravity effects, as well as surface tension effects.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Non-stationary influence of the North Atlantic Oscillation on summer precipitation in the Central-Eastern Himalayas

open access: yesnpj Climate and Atmospheric Science
Understanding the interannual variability of summer precipitation across the Central-Eastern Himalayas (CEH) is essential for guiding efficient water management and supporting socio-economic development in South Asia.
