The nMB splint demonstrated superior effectiveness in reducing joint noise and improving patient comfort compared to the TB splint, while both splints exhibited similar efficacy in relieving joint pain and enhancing MMO. The nMB design offers a promising, patient‐oriented approach for conservative treatment of ADDwR.

Clear Aligners and Bruxism: A Systematic Review
This study aimed to systematically evaluate the relationship between clear aligner therapy and bruxism, including both sleep and awake bruxism, to determine whether aligners act as a neutral factor, protective agent, or risk factor. The findings indicate that no definitive conclusion can be drawn, as the current evidence is limited and contradictory ...

Abstract Purpose Tooth loss leads to reduced occlusal contact area, altered jaw biomechanics, and diminished neuromuscular coordination, impairing both masticatory function and speech clarity. Edentulous patients often adapt by modifying food choices or swallowing behavior and may experience persistent phonetic disturbances.

ABSTRACT Sleep bruxism (SB) has been reportedly associated with temporomandibular disorder (TMD); however, solid evidence is lacking. Previous studies have primarily used traditional metrics, such as the masticatory muscle activity (MMA) index and bruxism time index (BTI) to investigate the link between SB and TMD.

Nonlinear Analysis of Surface Electromyography
Electromyography (EMG) detects electrically or neurogically activated muscle cells on the basis of waveform characteristics from a recorded signal. EMG is useful for evaluating and recording movement abnormalities. The EMG signals can also detect neuromuscular activation level and recruitment order in addition to analyze the biomechanics of human or ...
