Organic additive engineering toward efficient perovskite light‐emitting diodes

open access: yesInfoMat, 2020
Perovskite materials with excellent optical and electrical properties are promising for light‐emitting diodes. In the field of perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs), organic materials additive engineering has been proved to be an effective scheme for

Surface energy, surface topography and adhesion [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives, 2003
Abstract In this paper are discussed some of the fundamental principles which are relevant to an understanding of the influence that interfacial roughness may have on adhesion. The surface energies of the adhesive, substrate and of the interface between them determine the extent of wetting or spreading at equilibrium.

Surface-Energy Engineering of Graphene [PDF]

open access: yesLangmuir, 2010
Contact angle goniometry is conducted for epitaxial graphene on SiC. Although only a single layer of epitaxial graphene exists on SiC, the contact angle drastically changes from 69 on SiC substrates to 92 with graphene. It is found that there is no thickness dependence of the contact angle from the measurements of single, bi, and multi layer ...

Surface energy of nanoparticles – influence of particle size and structure

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2018
The surface energy, particularly for nanoparticles, is one of the most important quantities in understanding the thermodynamics of particles. Therefore, it is astonishing that there is still great uncertainty about its value. The uncertainty increases if

Potential energy surfaces for gas-surface reactions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011
A method for constructing the potential energy surface for reactions of a molecule with the surface of cleaved non-conducting crystals is reported. The method uses systematic fragmentation to express the total potential in terms of potential energy surfaces which describe reactions of relatively small molecules in the gas phase.

Easy orientation of diblock copolymers on self-assembled monolayers using UV irradiation

open access: yes, 2009
A simple method based on UV/ozone treatment is proposed to control the surface energy of dense grafted silane layers for orientating block copolymer mesophases. Our method allows one to tune the surface energy down to a fraction of a mN/m.

New insights into the properties of pubescent surfaces: peach fruit as model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The surface of peach (Prunus persica ‘Calrico’) is covered by a dense indumentum, which may serve various protective purposes. With the aim of relating structure to function, the chemical composition, morphology, and hydrophobicity of the peach skin was ...

Monolithic Integration of Semi-Transparent and Flexible Integrated Image Sensor Array with a-IGZO Thin-Film Transistors (TFTs) and p-i-n Hydrogenated Amorphous Silicon Photodiodes

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
A novel approach to fabricating a transparent and flexible one-transistor–one-diode (1T-1D) image sensor array on a flexible colorless polyimide (CPI) film substrate is successfully demonstrated with laser lift-off (LLO) techniques.
