Tough and Temperature‐Resistant Material Based on Bombyx mori Silk Fibroin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
We propose a biomimetic “Hydration‐Crystallization Locking” (HCL) strategy inspired by Bombyx mori spinning to enhance silk fibroin (SF) performance in extreme temperatures. A flexible fibroin membrane (FFM) shows high strength, toughness, and shape retention under −196°C and 70°C.

Metal Nanocluster‐Based Manufacturing of 2D Film With an Insulator‐to‐Conductor Tunability

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
The voltage‐dependent assembly on interdigitated microelectrodes is based on Au25 nanoclusters (NCs): crystallizing at 0.5 V, NC‐based filming at 1.3 V, and nanocrystal‐based filming at 2.6 V. The film formed at 2.6 V can be varied from an insulator to a conductor (from ∞ to ∼0.3 Ω), exhibiting unique electrothermal and current‐limiting functionalities.

Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Acrylamide Detection Using Gold Nanoparticles on Titanium Oxide Nanowires: A Green Analytical Method

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 6, Issue 2, March 2026.
Acrylamide is found in many common foods and presents toxicity concerns. Its current detection methods are time consuming, costly, and environmentally unsustainable. This study presents an acrylamide detection methodology based on surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) using gold nanoparticles on titanium oxide nanowires, with focus on reducing ...

Periodic and Statistically Distributed Surface Texturing of Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) Sensors with Spatially Selective Signal Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
Molecular fingerprinting for the detection of biomolecules is highly sensitive and noninvasive through the surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect. This is a report on the commercially competitive performance of gold‐coated periodic structures and black Si (aperiodic) nanostructures as plasmonic SERS substrates.

An Alternative Approach to Spontaneous Photon Triplets Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
Day by day, communication and computing technologies are progressing at a lightning speed, which is particularly true of the quantum version of these technologies (QIST). Increasingly, these technologies are emerging from unusual and sometimes bewildering quantum optical effects, which are based on exotic quantum physical theories.
