Effects of Surface Finish Material on Millimeter-Wave Antenna Performance

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
Recently, the popularity of millimeter-wave circuits has increased. One of the main reasons for this increase is offering a wide frequency band and high-speed data transfer.

Analysis of finishing forces and surface finish during magnetorheological abrasive flow finishing of asymmetric workpieces

Journal of Micromanufacturing, 2019
Magnetorheological abrasive flow finishing (MRAFF) is an advanced hybrid process for producing ultrafine finished surfaces. Such surfaces reduce frictional forces and thereby minimize wear and tear to increase functional lifetime of the components.

Surface Finishing

2008
Abstract This chapter discusses the functions of surface treatments important for stainless steel, namely the removal of oxide scale and cleaning, brightening, and coloring of the stainless surface. Details on the main methods of producing aesthetic surface finishes are also provided.

Surface finishing processes

2000
Grinding is an operation performed by a rotating abrasive wheel, which removes metal from the surface of an object. It is usually a finishing operation which gives a good surface finish and high dimensional accuracy to workpieces which have already been machined by other methods. Very little metal is removed in this operation.
