Characterization of the aerosol produced by infrared femtosecond laser ablation of polyacrylamide gels for the sensitive inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry detection of selenoproteins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A 2D high repetition rate femtosecondlaserablation strategy (2-mm wide lane) previously developed for the detection of selenoproteins in gel electrophoresis by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was found to increase signal sensitivity by a ...

Highly intensified emission of laser-accelerated electrons from a foil target through an additional rear laser plasma

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2018
Intensification of electrons escaping from an intense laser-produced plasma is demonstrated by using double femtosecond laser pulses. The electron density distribution at the rear surface of a laser-irradiated foil target is controlled by preirradiation ...

A Dislocation Perspective on Strength and Toughness in Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Dislocations in ceramics enjoy a long but yet under‐appreciated history. The three research waves for dislocations in ceramics highlight the topic evolution over the last 90 years. This review focuses on the impact of dislocation on strength and toughness in ceramics.

THE FORMATION OF TiO NANOCLUSTERS IN THE SURFACE LASER PLASMA WHEN TITANIUM AND BARIUM TITANATE ARE SUBJECTED TO THE EFFECT OF DOUBLE LASER PULSES [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2012
The effect of an additional laser pulse on the formation of the composition and charge state of the surface laser plasma was studied by the laser spark spectrometry (LSS) method.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

SYNTHESIS OF THE ZINC OXIDE NANOCLUSTERS DOPED WITH COPPER FROM ORTHOPHOSPHATE SALTS IN POROUS SAMPLES ON LASER ABLATION [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2013
Spectroscopic studies of the surface laser plasma formed close to the porous body containing nanoquantities of different zinc and copper salts under the effect of two successive pulses have been performed.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Spectroscopic examination of plasma generated by a Nd:YAG laser and structural analysis of CdO and Cr2O3 nanoparticles created through pulsed laser ablation

open access: yesNext Materials
Laser-induced plasma spectroscopy(LIBS/OES) is used to investigate the plasma characteristics of a 532 nm Nd:YAG laser generated from Cd, CdO and Cr₂O₃ targets at 180–360 mJ.
