Electroactive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Electrocatalysis
Electrocatalysis is crucial in sustainable energy conversion as it enables efficient chemical transformations. The review discusses how metal–organic frameworks can revolutionize this field by offering tailorable structures and active site tunability, enabling efficient and selective electrocatalytic processes.

Acoustic surface plasmons in the noble metals Cu, Ag, and Au
We have performed self-consistent calculations of the dynamical response of the (111) surface of the noble metals Cu, Ag, and Au. Our results indicate that the partially occupied surface-state band in these materials yields the existence of acoustic ...

This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

Confined Surface Plasmon–Polariton Amplifiers [PDF]
We demonstrate the realization of confined surface plasmon polariton amplifiers using a thin layer of the organic gain medium 4-dicyanomethylene-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran dispersed in a tris(8-hydroxy-quinolinato)aluminum matrix. Complete loss compensation, which occurs at a pump fluence of approximately 200 μJ/cm(2), is directly ...

This study investigates electromechanical PUFs that improve on traditional electric PUFs. The electron transport materials are coated randomly through selective ligand exchange. It produces multiple keys and a key with motion dependent on percolation and strain, and approaches almost ideal inter‐ and intra‐hamming distances.

Plasmonic modes in thin films: quo vadis?
Herein, we discuss the status and the prospect of plasmonic modes in thin films. Plasmons are collective longitudinal modes of charge fluctuation in metal samples excited by an external electric field.

Femtosecond surface plasmon interferometry
We demonstrate femtosecond plasmonic interferometry with a novel geometry. The plasmonic microinterferometer consists of a tilted slit-groove pair. This arrangement allows for (i) interferometric measurements at a single wavelength with a single microinterferometer and (ii) unambiguous discrimination between changes in real and imaginary parts of the ...

Scattering of surface plasmons by one-dimensional periodic nanoindented surfaces
In this work, the scattering of surface plasmons by a finite periodic array of one-dimensional grooves is theoretically analyzed by means of a modal expansion technique.
